Does Expired HumilinR Cause Abdominal Pain When Consumed?

I have been using the Humilin R fast acting insulin and i forgot to check the expiration date (which was 2011) and it has been causing extreme pain in my right lower abdomin and i take the required amount when my sugar gets to high are these two related?

Hi,

One should not use any drug leave aside HumilinR beyond expiry date. Extreme pain in the right lower abdomen could be due to Acute Appendicitis or Acute salpingo-oophoritis (in case of female). You need to start drug before its expiry date.
