Does Flagil Have Any Side Effects?

Hi ..my 3 year old had diarrhea and I did a stool analysis and it says she has bacteria and amoeba ..I gave her antinal for ten days but still she sometimes doesn't have normal stool ..her doctor prescribed flagil but I'm worried about its side effects

Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic. Diarrhoea in this age group is usually viral in origin...it doesn't require any antibiotics. It is usually self limiting and requires utmost zinc supplements and ORS. Bacterial in stool examination is normal. You mentioned about amoeba...I would like to get a clarification if it is reported as cysts or trophozoites..as cysts do not warrant any medication or antihelminthics as they are commonly called. Even if there is diarrhoea if the urine output is normal and there is no blood in the motion..you need not worry. Hope my answer was helpful for you. Happy to help any time.
