Does Having Sex While On Periods Prolong The Period?

Hi. I have a question about my period.. I have no idea of this is the right specialty, but I m gonna go for it. Does having sex while on your period prolong your period? Because I started my period on september 26th, and i have sex on september 29th, and I am STILL on my period.. Which is a lot longer than usual. Is it the sex? or is it just because I m not regular? Or is it something else?

Hi

It may prolong for a day or two but not this long.
Problems in the vagina, cervix and uterus need to be looked for as a cause and of course bleeding tendency.
