I have been thorugh a billateral inguinal hernia surgery 21 days ago. The left one was inguinoscrotal and was reductible. Since the first day after surgery, this specific mass was gone, but a smaller one above the left testicle was still there. It would get bigger some days and today, after a long time standing up, it was bigger than ever, almost the size the hernia was before, except that I can't reduce it at all and I don't feel any pain. I kinda doubt the surgery (with mesh) failed, and if it did, I'd be feeling some excruciating pain. I tought it could be a spermatocele, but I haven't read anywhere if it varies in size (depending on how much semen is produced maybe?). I'm also curious if the hernia itself could have caused a spermatocele do develop (or just grow in size) due to it's mass effect in the scrotum for many years.
Thank you.
