Does Hydronephorsis Cause UTI?

I just had my third uti in a year and my dr recommended an ultrasound, never in my life having any. I had it done with an active infection. It showed left renal moderate to severe hydronephrosis, no mass or stones seen, nor obstruction visible. I am going for a urogram on Monday. I am 53 with no history of kidney problems. I am very scared thinking the worst. I have never had kidney stones. I do have moderate hbp.

I really appreciate your concern looking to the history given here I could say that UTI could cause the "hydronephrosis" it is other way round if you have a recurrent history of Urinary tract infection then it is advisable to get done the culture sensitivity test of urine and then treat the urinary tract infection accordingly, take care have a nice day.
