Does Lexapro Have Any Side Effects Like Epilepsy?

seizures my name is christina. i had grandmal seizures as a child. i havent however had one in 20 years until this past november. i am taking lexapro and have read thats a possible side effect.... its just been one and now im almost 2 months with no other seizures. could epilepsy be a concern? could my anti depressent have had a hand in it. ive been through a ct scan that was clear. what are your thoughts?

Hi,

It just isn't common with it. Anyone with any seizures would be a cause for concern. I'm not quite sure if this would be called a "new set of seizures" or not but in new seizures, it's very important to have a head scan to rule out pathologies like tumor or stroke.
