Does Microgynon 30 Initiate Side Effects Like Nausea, diarrhea And Acidity?

I began taking the microgynon 30 contraceptive pill two days ago. Last night I woke up about 3 am with nausea and diarrhea. It is now the morning and I am still feeling sick and my I have a slightly acidic feeling in my throat. Is this a side effect of the pill and should I carry on taking it or stop? I m 16 and my exams start next week so need to get back to normal ASAP!

Hi.Thanks for writing on HCM.
Gastrointestinal disorders like nausea, abdominal pain (1 in 100) and vomiting, diarrhea (1 in 1000) are seen in individual taking microgynon. If this is disturbing your routine I would suggest to discuss with your doctor for a switch depending on the reason for which you have been using it.Hope this helps.Good luck.
