Does The Ultrasound Report Showing Hypo Echoic Lesion In Posterior Myometrium Mean Pregnancy?
hi i am having very light blood for last 6 days, and it started right before the time of my period. Last and pervious periods are ok and usually occured at 28-19 days. but this time i had only slight bleeding during my periods. my HPT is negative, have headache, breast pain and dizziness, but no vomiting. Ultrasound of my abdomen and pelvis shows that i have hypoechoic lesion in posterior mymometricum and suggested follow up scan after days. I was excited that i might be pregnant. now i m too worried.
Hi, Welcome to HCM, If your pregnancy test is negative, USG can't detect pregnancy. it is possible that your pregnancy test is positive, and not able to see any evidence of pregnancy in USG due to several reasons. So definitely it is not pregnancy. It could be adenomyosis, fibroid or ovarian mass. It could be remnant of previous miscarriage or abortion. it is better you go for follow up USG after 4weeks, to confirm the presence of it, and to do other comparative study. Sometimes less bleeding could be due to ingestion of some pain killers for some other reason. other symptoms of breast tenderness, dizziness could be due to hormonal changes, during menstruation or pre menstrual, or sometimes symptoms due to pseudo-pregnancy( Intense desire of pregnancy can give pregnancy like symptoms). Just relax, and go for follow up . I do not think, that there is some major issue. Dr H Hamdani

Does The Ultrasound Report Showing Hypo Echoic Lesion In Posterior Myometrium Mean Pregnancy?
Hi, The hypoechoic lesion you are suggesting is probably fibroid uterus. It has to be differentaited from adenomyosis . Pregnancy is unlikely. Let me know if you have anymore queries. Regards
