Done Hysterectomy For Endometrial Cancer. Taken Antiviral Pills For Fever Blisters On Lips. Related To Hormone Changes?
I had a complete hysterectomy on June 18, 2013 due to endometrial cancer. Around the first week of August I started having very chapped lips. The discomfort and dry chapped lips seemed to get worse daily. I woke up on Tuesday morning this week with weeping blisters all over my lips and a large amount of swelling. I went to my family doctor , and she diagnosed fever blisters. I have never had a fever blister and am 50 years old. I took the antiviral pills and have used the cream on my lips since Tuesday and there has been no improvement. Could this be related to my hormone changes due to hysterectomy? The pharmacist told me today if it was actually fever blisters I should have already seen great improvement by today. I am confused.
