Done Liver Transplant. Have Delirium, Anger Issues. Side Effects Of Steroids?

Hello.. my father just had a liver transplant in DE, I am all the way in GA and my sister is dealing with everything there. He is having issues with delirium, and also anger issues. She told me that the doctor said it is a side effect from the steroids, called Steroidious? Sorry if spelled incorrect. He has been combative, incoherent and seeing things? Does this sound normal? It has been a week since the surgery, apparently the side effects he is having, 1-3% of the patients that experience, may not return to full health and can possible be like this for the rest of his life. Is this true? She is meeting with the doctors this Friday to discuss what is going on.. just looking for some clarity..Confused and sad.. thank you

Thanks for the query to H.C.M.Forum.
Since liver was transplant in December , so this is successful .
As far as concerned , now then need of hour is to consult a psychiatrist and get his counselling and treatment as these two things are very important after major organ transplant. Steroid don't develops such furious side effects.
