Done Sling Surgery For Incontinence. Have UTI After Removal Of Catheter. Is This Common?

Hi I recently had sling surgery for incontinence . But had to have a catheta for two weeks cause of problems peeing. The catheta is now out its been three and a half weeks since surgery and I ve had two uti . They offered to split the sling last week to get a better flow, but said I would be back to being incontinent. This was before I got the second uti. Is this common?

Post catheterisation UTI is fairly common and needs urine culture test and appropriate antibiotics.
