Dry Hands, Feet, Occasional Cracks, Diagnosed With Contact Dermatitis, Stomach Virus, Soft Stools. Are These Related?

My son is 2 1/2 years old. I have had two different health problems recently with him and not sure if they are related in any way. About two months ago my son came down with a rash on his hands and feet. We took him to the doctor and they diagnosed him with contact dermatitis. After the rash finally cleared up about three weeks later, his hands and feet are very very dry and sometimes crack. About a week ago my son came down with a little stomach virus. He vomited three times, had a fever, diarrhea, and was very lethargic. This lasted about two days and then his fever was gone and he was feeling much better. Since then he has had very smelly, soft, and pale stools. It isn't liquid diarrhea anymore, but still very soft. Wondering if the two illnesses could have anything to do with each other and if I should be worried about his stools?

Hi welcome to Health care magic forum.
Thanks for choosing H.C.M.Forum.
Your son age 2 1/2 years of age had rash and diagnosed as contact dermatitis used medicines now they are dry.
After clearing up the infection he had vomiting, loose motions, and fever. Fever cleared in 2 days but the, the stools is still soft, and smelling.
Both the diseases have occured in different times, and of different systems. Both have no relations.
Intestines still have infection So he must be treated for that infection till the motion is changed completely.
Hands and feet should become smooth , so i advise you to consult a pediatric specialist for both ailments.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery.
Best wishes,
