Epilepsy, Seizures. On Eptoin, Levipil And Zeptol. What Is The Cure?
Hi Sir,
I am 28 years old, Single Male.
I am suffering from Epilepsy since last 2.5 Years.
I was advised to take Eptoin 100 mg by the first doctor, and I was taking it for first 1 year.
Then I got a second seizues and I got fainted and uncpuncious whcih lead my friends to take me to hospital and the new doctor changed the medicine to Zeptol CR 200. And I was under this tablet for next 7 months.
And Again, at the next seizus I was taken to hospital (New doctor ) changed the tab to Eptoin.
Now in july 2013 I had a severe seizues and was admited in one hospital. I was unconcious for 1 day.
Then new doctor, prescribed 2 tablets Levipil 500mg(2-0-2) and Encorate Chrono(1-0-1)
Now Since last 2 months I am under his treatement and dont have any issues.
Will this get cured completely.
How long it take me get completely cured.

Generally the concept is to treat for about 3 years with medications from last episode of seizure and if it recurs then the period is extended from this episode for 3 years. If there is seizure free period of 3 years that medication is stopped.Your neurologist shall explain you better
