Extreme Pain In Back With Clicking, Painful Knees, Pneumonia. All Tests Normal. Are Ortho Doctors Missing Something?
yes thank you. My son has been suffering with extreme back pain, clicking and extreme pain in the knees and 3 bouts of pneumonia this year. I have seen him in suck extreme pain he can sometimes hardly function. He has had mri, xrays and bone scans which have not shown any results. Could this be something that the Ortho doctors and PCPs are missing. My father was 29 and after 3 yrs of being treated for Byrsitis, and finally ending up in a wheel chair they found it to be RA. Could this be what they seem to be missing with my son? Or something else?
Pneumonia can lead to back pain as pleura is involved. And also check your vit B12 and vit D3 level. HLA B 27 blood test with RA test may rule out spondylitis.
Medication like methylcobalamine and analgesic will reduce pain. You can do yoga exercises and focus on spine extension exercises.
You may consult physiotherapist for guidance. He may start TENS, or ultrasound which is helpful in your case.
Hope this helps. Wish you a speedy recovery.
Take care
