Faster Heartbeat, Uneasiness, Difficult In Keeping Balance. History Of Starting To Take Promolut N Before 2 Weeks. Side Effects?
Hi Doctor,
I am taking Primolut -N for 12 days, 2 tablets a day. I am 32 years old & 75 kilos, height of 5'7. Been taking it for 5 days now and continue till 28th Aug. This is th efirst time I am taking the tablets so far its been ok. But just this morning I felt like my heart was beating faster for sometime that I felt uneasy... not dizzy but just uneasy, I thought it may have been low sugar and hence had something sweet. Now I sort of feel it off and on,I am trying not to worry but can't help it. Could it be one of the effects of Primolut? I hope not :( ... I am leaving on a vacation tomorrow :(... Please help.
Hi, Primolut-N can cause elevation of blood pressure; also, the requirement of oral anti-diabetic drugs and insulin may vary with its usage and hence, diabetes should be excluded before taking the medication. You may have had either transient blood pressure variation or hypoglycemia that was corrected. You should consult your doctor and report the matter as you are going to go out to decide whether to continue the medication or change to something else. Hope your query is answered. Take care.
