Fell Over Right Arm And Shoulder, Severe Pain, Swollen. Can It Cause Lymph-edema ?
hi my name is AAAAA, I fell over about three weeks ago on my right arm and shoulder I went to the A and E department , they xrayed it and said nothing was broken just pulled a few muscles, I am still in a lot of pain especially when I have it in a certain position, can I just add I was diagnosed with breast cancer three years ago and I fell on that side where I had surgery, my arm has swollen a little so I m wondering if it could cause lymphedema , I had lymphoditis on holiday last year so I m a little worried . could that be the problem. thankyou for any help and advice you can give me
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The pain in the shoulder after a fall is not likely to cause a lymphedema. The swelling that you are having is more likely to be due to a soft tissue swelling in the area. Anti inflammatory medicines should help you.
