Fever, Urine Routine:RBC, Pus Cells, Acinetobacter Baumanii 22,000 Cfu/ml, ESR 82, Abdomen Scan:prostatomegaly
My husband age 47,is having fever for the past 1 month.blood reports are normal,urine routine shows rbc 1-2/hpf, pus cells 2-4/hpf. blood culture is sterile. urine culture shows acinetobacter baumanii 22,000 cfu/ml. he had esr 100 which is now 82. Ct scan of abdomen shows diffuse urinary bladder wall thickening and moderate prostatomegaly. ct ofthorax shows ill-defined areas of centri acinar air opacification with branching pattern involving posterior basal segments of both lower lobes. fever is 99-101. please advise

Your husband needs admission to hospital immediately. He is suffering from 2 problems
1. respiratory infection
2. urinary tract infection.
Specific antibiotics, good urinary drainage , chest physiotherapy and good nutrition are pivitol for his speedy recovery.
