Fistula Between Bowel And Vagina Due To Bowel Perferation During Colonoscopy. In Need Of Cbag For Sometime. Should Both Surgeries Done At Once?
I have a fistula between my bowel and virgina due to a bowel perferation during a colonoscopy. I am told i will need a gyno doctor to repair this i also had my bowel perferated and now have a cbag which I am told I will need for probably 6 months can you tell me if I should have the fistula repaired first or have both surgeries at once

It depends if you can wait for vaginal repair 6 months. it is more advisable to do these 2 procedures at the same time. It will be easier for you to stand and there will be less complications. I am sure you can be patient for few more months. Peforation can be serious complication and at least 4 months must pass from cbag fromation till fixing it because this is time that bowel needs to recover completely.
