Had A Tibial Plateau Fracture, Weakness In Knee. Do I Need A Surgery?

I had a tibial plateau fracture and it's been 15 weeks. I am off crutches and walking but it feels like something is loose in my knee and if I move a certain way I feel grinding of bones in my knee or it feels like it needs to pop but usually does not. My orthopedic surgeon doesn't think I need surgery but I cannot walk properly still because of this uncomfortable pain. What could it be?

Hi:
thank your for your question

tibial plateau fracture are serious fracture because they will cause post traumatic arthritis if not reduced and fixed in good position.

it will help me in answering your question to know your age and job type and if you are very active, and if you do sports?

when was the last x-ray you had?

so in summary it might be post traumatic arthritis in your knee

kind regards
