Had Allergic Reaction To Amoxicillin. Taking Prednisone. No Change In Skin Rash. Advice?

I recently had an allergic reaction to amoxicillin. (penicillin) I am now taking 6 days of prednisone steroid(20mg first dose and tapering to 5mg over 6 day time period.) The meds aren't counter-reacting the rash. I am wondering if the allergy has triggered my past experience w/ overactive immune system that produces these rashes; and if so if I should skip to the punch and start taking methotrexate again...? Severely frustrated...

You are taking correct treatmet.
It will take some time for the rash to disappear.
Have a watch that there should not be increase in the rash.
You dont need to start methotrexate.
