Had Osteosarcoma, Bone Replaced By Rod. Got Fractured, Swelling And Pain. History Of Cancer. Suggestions?
My husband had cancer several years ago.He had osteosarcoma in his left leg. After having the bone taken out and a rod put in he has recentley fracture the area above the rod. he has had lots of swelling and pain and more recently his foot has begun giving him pain/problems.. Any clue as to what s going on..He is a stubborn male who refuses to ho back to the Dr.
Based on the description, I suspect that your husband might have suffered a Pathological fracture (due to the tumour mass weakening the bone) of the bone.
This condition has to be treated accordingly based on the fracture pattern by a an orthopedic surgeon. There is no role of Home remedies or self care measures.
I suggest you to approach your treating doctor for further management.
Hope this information is helpful. Good day
