Had Umbilical Hernia Surgery. Taken Gas X, Apple Juice. Not Getting Gas Or Bowel Movement. How Long Will It Last?
My husband has umbilical hernia surgery yesterday and his gas pain is terrible....he has taken gas x, drank water and apple juice and still has not gas and or bm....what else can we do and how long will it last?

Hello, paralytic ileus is common aftr surgery. It shud be relieved on its own in 2 to 3 days.Moving around also helps if that is allowed.
