Hard Knot On The Eyebrow After An Injury. Pain In The Head. Chances Of Concussion?

I accidentally jabbed the area above my eye and below my eyebrow into a pointed corner of a dresser a few hours ago...have a large knot below eyebrow...head hurt very bad at the base of my skull and top of my head for a while...now headache is letting up some but knot still there...do you have any advice? Is it possible to have a concussion without passing out?

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi there ~

The knot in your eyebrow after the injury seems to be a blood clot that will get better as you will start to heal. Also the chances of concussion in your case are high, but since you did not have any loss of consciousness, you are safe from any long term effects. If you want to get yourself reassured, please get a CT scan of head and consult a neuropsychiatrist to rule out anything major. I hope you understand and take care of yourself.

Have a nice day!
