Have Hydrosalpinx In Right Tube. What Happens If It Bursts ?
Hi I have Hydrosalpinx in Right tube, what happens if it bursts? I am 44 years old had a Hysterectomy 10 years ago and had surgery on the same tube for Hydrosalpinx 5 years ago, all organs stuck together with adhesions. I have had nausea and serve pain but this has diminished over the last two weeks. Saw my OBYG on Friday and did ask what happens if it bursts but he didn't really answer this question have done cancer marker bloods and await these result, at this stage as surgery will be major, major due to adhesions and history (heaps of scars) we are at this stage doing an ultrasound in 6 months. but I really need to know what happens if it burst meanwhile ???? Many Thanks
Cases of tubal rupture due to hydrosalpinx are rare but do occur. They are rare as doctors strictly supervise the patients once they are diagnosed.
Now coming to your query. If the tube does rupture, it can result in fatality also if not reported and managed immediately.
Symptoms like pain abdomen, bleeding through the vagina, dizziness, abdominal cramping, pain on one side, symptoms of shock, drop in blood pressure, shoulder pain, feeling of constipation, nausea, etc.
This would be considered a serious complication and can even result in death.
Hope this answered your query.
Best wishes.
