Have Connective Tissue Disease, Calcification On Thumb. On Medication. What Can Stop It?

Hi,
I have had connective tissue disease all my life. I am 63 and retired. I have managed my disease through the years on medication and exercise. Recently, my disease has been classified as CREST. I have a calcification on my thumb which is very painful. I have seen two doctors in the last week. Neither doctor has helped me with pain relief. I did get high blood medication for this condition. I just recently moved to MO where there are few MDs that work with this condition. I just want to know what I can do to stop the calcification.

Hi, it is not a generalised calcification, it appears to be the local calcification, due probably to the old hair line fracture, un attended.
I advise you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have scraping of the extra bone.
i to my patient with such symptoms prescribe injection of vitaminB1, 6 ,and 12 . for 10 consecutive days, ofloxacin, and antiinflamatory drugs. Thank you.
