Hi doctor . My name is Elizabeth from Edmonton,CA and Iam 56 years old.I have fibromyalgia with widespread chronic bones, muscle and joints whole body pain since 2010.Recently,I was removing weeds using a hoe from flower garden for about 1 hour and shortly after when I finished it I got pee pressure, bleeding when I started and finished pee and strong bladder pain after pee was finished. It occurred for two days.As per Family doctor I was doing blood test,urine test and bladder ultrasound.After that I was diagnosed with high infection and was treated by antibiotic Cipro.I was taking CT scan and cystoscopy by urologist and he find nothing.Can you please explain to me what it really connection with fibromyalgia and bleeding bladder after this light physical work and why it happened? Also ,recently I develop lack of vitamin D - 46.It is any connection between fibromyalgia and lack of vitamin D? Thank you for your time Elizabeth Bamburak
You have been diagnosed as UTI and was treated. It can happen to anyone but the incidence is more with those who have hypovitaminosis. This is due to the delay in the repair of normal wear and tear of the tissues. Fibromyalgia has no connect with UTI.
