Have One Ovary, Depressed, Cyst And Fibroid. On Prolactin, Fsh Level Abnormal. Done Hormonal Tests. What Can Be Done?

Hi:how do you do: I have many problems ...Iam 43 years old..I have married since a year ..and I have one ovary....now I have fibroid(46) mm......and one polysistic (36*29)mm ....the latest tests for hormones on the third day. Of menstruation were ...... Prolactin (21). Reference range 3,6-23 ng/ml. .fsh (22,94) ..........Lh(28,74) ......Iam depressed ..and I haven't had my menstruation without medicine..the doctor decided to give me alternative hormones..(CLIMEN).. but Iam very afraid that that fibroid will become bigger please help me if there is some way that can I solve my problems

Hello ma'am.

It appears as though your doctor has initiated hormone replacement therapy (HRT) which is one of the treatment options for the fibroid.

I would like for you to know that fibroids in the uterus are effectively and permanently treated with a surgical procedure called hysterectomy (recommending so taking your age into consideration). This procedure will avoid and prevent all future recurrens of fibroids and also reduce the chance of their further growth and/ or development.

If you do not wish to go ahead with this procedure then there are other surgical procedures for removal of the fibroids without having to depend on medication (eg. Cryosurgery, surgical resection, electrocauterization, etc.).

Please speak to your surgeon regarding the same.

Hi,
Thank you for choosing Healthcaremagic. As your FSH value is high, that means your ovaries are not functioning properly, these are the signs that suggest you are going into menopause. No Climen doesn't increase the fibroid size.
