Have Osteoporosis And On Medication. Is There Some Other Medication For This?

My mother is getting medication for osteoporosis in the pill form which requires her to take once per week on an empty stomach, etc and I'm am looking at other types of medication that would be easier for her. One I have heard a little about is Prolia (denosumab) but her doctor didn't know much about. Was hoping you might shed some light on the med that is givin as a shot once every six months. thanks.
