Have Pain And Tenderness On Top Of Foot For Months. How To Overcome This?

Hi, I have pain and tenderness on top of my foot, at the tuberosity of the 5th metatarsal. Hurts to touch it,and sometimes will hurt without being touched. I dont recall injuring it in any way,i am not a runner or athlete. Probably has been for 6 months or a little less. It isnt red,and dont think i see swelling. Thought maybe a bunion of sorts, but is not in the regular spot for a tailors bunion. Thank you.

Welcome to HCM.
Pain on the 5th metatarsal is might be due to improper footwear.
Try to change the footwear, avoid heeled footwear.
It usually occurs due to unequal weight bearing on the foot.
Otherwise also go for investigations like cbc, urine, fbs, ppbs, uric acid, thyroid to rule out any underlying condition.
Take nsaid to subside pain, apply nsaid gel locally.
Confirm equal weight bearing point on sole under guidance of orthopedician.
