Have Severe Pain In Shoulder, Neck And Arm. No Medication Now. What To Do?

My husband has excrusiating pain in his right shoulder to the point of almost passing out. When he is sitting downit doesent hurt . He canhold his arm inthe air and rotate it but when standing it hurts bad. This morning whenit woke him up the pain went down his neck to his shoulder and down his arm. Now it mostly is in his shoulder.

The pain in the shoulder arm and upper back could be related to a muscle spasm or cervical spondylosis. usually it can be relieved by taking mild pain killers and muscle relaxants. He can also do a hot fomentation.
