Have Skin Rash And Itching Prescribed Solupred And Neoclarityn. Suspects Food Allergy. Remedy?

I developed an allergy reaction 3 days ago and my doctor prescribed Solupred 20 mg (x2) daily and 1 Neoclarityn daily. My skin rash is still bad and itching at night is unbearable. Doctor suspects it's a food allergy since I did not have it before. I am 61 years old. What should I do if after 6 Solupred 20 mg I am not getting better? Thanks.

Hi, thanks for your query.

Your doctor has suspected food allergy for which you have been given apt treatment. It may last until the causitive allergen is eliminated from the body.So keep some patience.
However if you are not getting better you might require a higher dose of solupred. You may consult your doctor for the same.
You may take another anti histaminic in the morning(Different salts give better cumulative effect )for relief of itching.

Take a bland diet, avoid processed and spicy foods until you get better.
Hope this helps you.
Wish you a quick recovery
