Have Yellow Pussy Sore Under Chin. Took Flucloxacillin. Can You Get Impetigo Very Soon Again?
Can you get impetigo within 2 weeks of a pervious episode (which was treated with flucloxacillin). My first episode I had a horrible yellow, pussy sore under my chin- it went away after the antibitotics which I finished last Monday. The 2 days ago I now have another yellow, pussy sore at the front of my chin just under my lip.

Hi. Seems like you are a carrier of staph. in your nasal flora thus giving rise to repeated infections.
I would advice that you repeat the course of oral antibiotic for a week and apply Topical mupirocin ointment twice daily in the vestibule of the nares for 5 days to eradicate carrier state.

You might have developed a recurrance of impetigo
These are bacterial infections.
Treatment is with antibiotics and you were treated with the same
but the choice of antibiotics should be based on culture and sensitivity tests.
