Having Diarrhea For Two Weeks, Eating Fiber, Prescribed Medication. Cure?
Hi..I have had diarrhea, going on two weeks, I eat fiber to help the process, and I literally have to run to the bathroom, and just explode with awful diarrhea..thi s is emabarrasing to about about, but this is getting riduculaous, teo straight weeks, I don't drink, I only take preseiption drugs, im not really over weight, and I may have a cookie or two, im not a junk foof eater...what should I ask my doctor about this?

The number of times you stool per day, the quality, color, odor of the stool, circumstances under which you developed the diarrhea and associated signs and symptoms (pain, fever) are key issues to be addressed when assessing the diarrhea. If the diarrhea was of acute onset, food intoxication could be suspected. In case of recent travel, Typhoid fever or cholera should be careful thought of.
Drinking Oral rehydration salt preparations, getting a proper clinical evaluation by your doctor, stool examination and culture, in my opinion and experience, should be main gateways in getting to know what is actually wrong with you. I suggest you consult your primary care physician. Thanks and kind regards.

Diarrheafor two week need to b investigated.stool routine examination and stool culture are needed to infective cause of diaarhoea...meanwhile take the tab ciplofloxin and tinidozole (ciplox TZ)Twice a day for7days and ORS (ORALREHYDRATION SALT) DISSOLVE in one 1 litter of water take much you can..and drink plenty of plain water.. it will prevent you from dehydration..stop sugar containing fluid,till you recover fully from diarrhea thankk.
