Hi there, Thanks for writing in. I am a medical specialist with an additional degree in cardiology. I read your question with diligence. You are right when you say that by calculation of BMI you fall in the range of Obesity. However you have reason underlying for it that is hypothyroidism and I hope with treatment your status is now Euthyroid that is normal thyroid functions. The increased metabolism with your own effort with diet and exercise will do wonders to your weight. Personally, my suggestion is taking products like you mentioned only aggravate some other problem and should be avoided. Eating balanced diet and regular exercise is usually enough. Yes you have long way to go to bring your weight to sixties but slow decrease say about 7 kg in a year for 3 years will be much more beneficial then loosing it drastically (and then regaining part of it...the Yo Yo (the toy) effect is actually harmful. With Regards.
With Best Wishes

hello... thyroid patients generally have a slow metabolic rate.. start doing weight training and brisk walks on alternate days..eat small meals every 2-3 hours.. avoid fired, sweets and junk.. reduce consumption of broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, peanuts, mushrooms.. have lot of fruits, nuts, salads, egg whites, sprouts.. reduce carbs like rotis/ rice at night..have soups, salads, veggies, chicken/ fish..drink plenty of water.. avoid fat burners or any such medicines..sleep well..
