Head Hurt For An Infant. Little Knot With No Pain. Concern?

19 month old hit head on towel rack in bathroom. He hit it pretty hard. Cried for about a minute then has been fine and acting normal ever since. A little knot has formed on the top of his head. But also beside it, it feels kind of dented in. I can't tell if its because of injury or if its normal because Ive felt dents like it before. I don't know if its serious or if Im just freaking out because he hit it.

Hello
Thanks for your query.
A dent is something that would occur if a baby hit the head.
If the baby is not vomiting, having abnormal postures, crying excessively or being abnormally drowsy and lethargic - then most probably he is fine.
You should still watch him for the next 48 - 72 hours, and if any abnormal sign develops, then take him to the doctor straightaway.
Otherwise, you can observe him at home.
IF the swelling increases, then please consult your doctor soon.
All the best.
