Headaches And Blood Clots In Urine. Taking Xarelto For Pulmonary Embolism. Hypertensive Taking Atavan. Side Effects?
My 82 year old mother was recently hospitalized and diagnosed with pulmonary emboli (10-24-13). She has been released to home and prescribed Xarelto (10-26-13). She is now complaining of right side lower back pain, fatigue, headaches and bleeding after urination. She has also detected pea size blood clots after urination. PPMH, she is hypertensive and taking medication as well as taking atavan. Is the bleeding and headaches normal side effects?

Ativan , she is taking.
Now prescribed Xarelto ( revaroxaban) for pulmonary embolism.
Now she is having right side pain (lower abdominal pain) , fatigue, headache, bleeding after urination ( clot also after urine).
All these symptoms may be due to .
1 Xaretlo is an anticoagulant so all these symptoms may be the side effect of this drug .
2 May be kidney stone , diagnosis can be confirmed by ultrasound of right kidney. As all these symptoms are an indication of kidney stone .
3 Blood disorder as this drug is anticoagulant so bleeding and clotting time measurement is important .
Get in blood clotting and bleeding time .
In my opinion consult your treating physician and get his opinion.
