Heavy Bleeding, Stomach Ache. Miscarriage?

Hi, just wondering if you could help me with a problem? I usually have light, short periods that only last around 4 days. My last period was on March 7th and was normal. A few days later I had really heavy bleeding and bright red blood that lasted roughly 3 days. I was also having bad stomach aches ans even though the bleeding has stopped, i m still getting painful (but not severe) stomach aches. Could it of been a miscarriage?

Hi thanks for your question.
Your last menstrual period(LMP) was on 7th of march and you again bled heavly after a week or so after 7th of march .This bleeding could be due to menorrhagia Menorrhagia has many causes, which needs investigation. This bleeding cannot be a miscarriage as for miscarriage first you have to concieve and it cannot be said whether you have concieved in 2 weeks or not.
Hope this answers your question.

Hello,
thanks for using health care magic
f you had a normal menses (that is in the quantity of flow and duration of flow) on that 7th of March, then any other bleeding resulting just a few days later is less likely to be a pregnancy related bleeding. However, if your menses was not the same as it use to be and if you have been sexually active, then pregnancy related causes must be rule out.
The first thing to do will be doing a pregnancy test which can be done at home with early morning urine. If it turns out negative, then other possible causes for your condition ( metrorrhaghia: bleeding between periods or menometrorrhagia: heavy menses and intermenstrual bleeding ) will have to be considered such as fibroids, hormonal imbalance, infections etc.
Hope this helps you
