Hit Head While Getting Up, Started Momentary Stabbing, Dull Pain.
Dear Dr, 2 days I bent down to pick something up and hit my head on the table as I was bending down...24 hours later I started to have this kind of momentary stabbing on the side of my head where I hit the table at...that lasted for a few hours and now all day I have had this constant dull pain there like it s bruised. I didn t have any loss of vision , vomiting or consciousness . I called one of my clients that s a dr and described what happened to her. She told me to apply ice and if it got worse or didn t go away within 24 hours to go to the dr. I don t want to go the dr for a simple bonk on the head...IDK whatelse it could be but I am worried...if it s just a bruise how long do those last? TY!

In head injury if there is vomiting, loss of consciousness, seizures, bleeding from ear and nose one should contact a doctor immediately. A bruise may persist for a week or so.
