How Can Constant Pain In The Buttocks Be Treated?
I am a 26 year old female with agonizing constant pain in my left buttock and hip for 8 months. I have done physical therapy, ibuprofen, heat and ice, lidocaine and cortisone injections with NO relief. I have had X-rays and MRIs done showing a possible tear and or impingement. I am concerned it is something more serious with how debilitating and constant this pain is. I have even tried hard narcotics and it does not even touch the pain. Nothing works. Can you advise to what I should do next.

The pain may be due to nerve impingement.
As the pain persist even after trying analgesics, it is better to go for surgical repair. You can consult an orthopaedic and plan for surgery.
You can try Gabapentin which is more effective for neuropathic pain.
