How Can Insomnia And Restlessness After Discontinuing Methadone Be Treated?

Yes i was on 140 mg methadone for 2 yrs i detoxed myself off of it and been off for 3 1/2 wks now i dont have symptoms of withdrawl other then extreme restlessness i havent slept i cant fall asleep whats good over the counter sleep aid to help me sleep

Hello,

I won't advise you for any sedative. But for the sleep, you can try hot milk prior to bed, try some exercise aerobic exercise could bring the sleep.

But taking a sleeping pill (sedative medicine) is not advisable because it has to be taken under medical supervision and should have some clinical evidence or indication.
