How Can Pain And Swelling At The Injury Site Be Treated?

Recently took a fall over a mat at physical therapy facility. Encountered floor with chest, left leg and knee. It appeared to be improving after two weeks but now is swelling and retaining fluid. Am running a mild temperature of 100.4 tonight and swelling and fluids continue. Saw a PA twice and Primary Physician today and they took xray and did ultrasound. No recommendations yet for tx. Not sure how I should treat condition until physician achieves dx and treatment. Feeling unconfortable.

Diabetologist 's  Response
Hi,

This could be due to infection or inflammation.

This can be diagnosed only by seeing the area. My advice is better to wait for the physician you consulted to advise you the medicine.

Painkillers and antibiotics will do the job.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Phanindra Dulipala,
