How Can Severe Pain In The Buttocks After An Injury Be Treated?
I slipped & fell/bounced down a short flight of carpeted stairs (about 5 steps). My left butt cheek is hard to the touch, and quite bruised....yes, there is a lump. The soreness is setting in now. I am currently on Eliquist and Cartia XT (for slight a fib). I also take Synthroid. What can I take to ease the pain? Also, do I need to have it X Rayed? Please advise ~ thank you

How Can Severe Pain In The Buttocks After An Injury Be Treated?
Hello, It could be a simple musculoskeletal pain or hematoma. As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief. You can also apply ice compression also. If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopedician and plan for an MRI scan. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
