How Can Soreness Of Ankle After An Injury Be Treated?

I recently broke my toe, my pinky toe. I went to the doctor and they said there was nothing I could do. I bought this special shoe so I can walk. But It's not helping. I'm in alot of pain and my toe is purple. My ankle is really sore because I'm limping on it. I have to attend school tomorrow but I know It's gonna hurt alot. I can't even walk into Kroger without stopping. I've rested it about 4 days now. I have put ice on it some. What should I do?
