How Can Swelling And Pain In The Legs Be Treated?

I am 76 years of Female, 185 pound+_,:as references I had bicycle fall injuries 7-8 years ago on left side hip to tight to leg...down & used Acupuncture & physiotherapy....etc. * for now I am taking only take Cholesterol pill, ....& my leg, ankle & feet are swelling & can t get help from my family Physician & ???. [ I am aware it s simple ways to ask?....but?...]

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Post injury swelling could be indicative of soft tissue injuries and if it is chronic one then it may be due to circulatory disturbances, venous lesion need to be ruled out, it could be limbic system too there could be some block somewhere in circulatory system, compression brace can be tied, or get done the complete evaluation.
