If the fibroids are large and multiple surgery is the best choice.Medicines also work but most often not well enough and has side effects.Also if your symptoms are severe surgery is recommened.Only if you are peri menopausal then you can wait for some time if your symptoms are controlled since menopause shrinks the fibroids.But at a younger age group,surgery is reccomended.
