Hi My name is Prajakta. I m 27yrs old mother of a 2yr old boy. I m 5 8 my wt is 93kg. Recently my doc suggested me a months course of checkwt tab for a month. I would like to know that how much weight will I on an average will loose in a month?can I continue it for another month as well?
Dear Prajakta, Hi I can understand your concern regarding the efficacy of Checkwt tablet.
Checkwt (Cetilistat) is found to be effective for the long term management of obesity. It acts by inhibiting the digestion of dietary fat by enzyme pancreatic lipase thus increasing dietary fat excretion.
It should not be used during pregnancy or if you plan to become pregnant as it is highly unsafe for the growing baby. It is also not be taken during breast feeding.
The common side effects include abdominal pain, bloating, flatulence, oily stools and a tendency to develop deficiencies of fat soluble vitamins (A,D,E & K).
It is actually difficulty to give exact weight reduction in terms of kilograms. However, as per the current recommendation the obese people are encouraged to increase the physical activity and reduce calorie intake.
Hope the information given above could be useful to you.
