How Long Should A Backup Method Be Used Before Inserting A New NuvaRing?
Hello, I took out my nuvaring out 4 days early, after getting my calendar mixed up. I generally take it out on Fridays and add a new one the following Friday. I took it out last Tuesday thinking that I had passed my take out day. I planned on adding a new one this Friday ( my original day). How long will it take before I m fully protected and how long do I have to use a backup method?

Your not protected against pregnancy for 7 days after inserting NuvRing.During these 7 days you have to use backup.You loose nuvring protection if nuvring remains outside vagina for more than 3 hour.
