How Long Will It Take To Get Periods After Taking Regestrone?

To regularise my period (in case I am not pregnant), I took regestrone 5 mg from the 20th day of my last cycle periods for 8 days. It has been 3 days now since i last took this medicine. How long will it take to get my next periods ? I am 28 years old. I have hypothyroid, PCOS and slightly overweight (BMI 29). I have managed to reduce 7 kgs for the past 6 months.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

After stopping treatment, periods will start between 5 to 9 days.

Since you have hypothyroidism, PCOD, you should manage them with weight reduction and also monitor your blood sugar levels and lipid profile.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Lohit K
