How Safe Is Laparoscopic Anti Reflux Surgery For Constant Vomiting?

My girlfriend has GERD and for the past few months has been vomiting nearly everything she eats along with stomach acid. Would you recommend laparoscopic anti reflux surgery due to the constant vomiting? It's gotten extremely bad and has affected her daily life and limited her eating and activities and may lead to other issues as I've researched. Thank you for any and all feedback.

Hello!

Thank you for the query.

The question is if her vomiting is caused by GERD or something else. Her problem may be caused by peptic ulcer, gallstones, pancreas issues or even narrow stomach-duodenum connection. That is why she should have gastroscopy and abdominal ultrasound done at first.
If her vomiting is caused by GERD indeed, laparoscopic fundoplication (anti reflux surgery) should be very helpful.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
