How Safe Is Excess Intake Of Potassium?

Linsinopril 20 mg.

I printed a list of recommended daily "potassium" intake for women which is 4.7 g., and a list on foods high in "potassium". Most of the foods I enjoy, I may be answering my own question? Should I just limit the amount I eat of the foods on this list so that it does not get close to the 4.7 g. daily recommendation? or stay away from these foods completely?

Hello and thanks for your question. Hi potassium can be dangerous as it can cause heart rhythm disturbances. However the body is very good at regulating potassium levels and usually can adjust to potassium rich foods. However, lisinopril can increase potassium so your doctor needs to check potassium levels periodically. I would not worry about eating potassium rich foods. Enjoy your food and make sure your potassium levels are checked by your doctor.
